Rhinos are an animal many people do not talk about. They talk about their tusk that poachers sell on the black market. What do you know about rhinos? Well for starters rhinos weight close to 6,000 pounds! That is the size of an SUV. On top of that they run faster than humans topping out at a whopping 28 MPH. The fastest human tops out at 23 MPH, could you imagine an animal that size and that fast charging at you? Rhinos make their own sunblock, because they are in the beaming hot sun of Africa all day. Rhinos will soak in the mud for up to 3 hours at a time to help with the sun and all the insects that bite them. And we thought pigs where nasty! Their horns are actually big finger nails on their face! Their horns are made of keratin, the same thing that keeps your hair and nails hard. Rhinos are a very amazing animal and I hope one day I can see on in person. h
