Remember the basic post requirements from the Assignment Sheet. Always refer back to that assignment sheet (on Canvas) when needed.
POST REQUIREMENTS
You’re required to post at least every two weeks, but reply to classmates once a week (with a couple of freebies) each half of the semester. Therefore, you should be consistently checking into the blog. Remember: I won’t remind you every week to do this ongoing assignment.
Each original post should be at least a solid, “meaty” two paragraphs / approx. 250 words. Replies would be shorter. You are always welcome to go above and beyond for length or number of posts/replies. You may find yourself enjoying it 🙂
Each original blog post must also include:
- Short but relevant title
- Your name if username doesn’t show it
- Identifying information and hyperlink for any “conversation starter” referenced (don’t assume we know what expert you’re responding to or what article you read)
GRADE CHECK-INS
- Mid-Semester: Week 9
- Checks Weeks 2-8
- Should have 4 Posts
- Should have 4 Replies
- End-of-Semester: Week 17
- Checks Weeks 9-15
- Should have 4 Posts
- Should have 4 Replies
GRADING
You’ll start with a grade depending upon the number of posts you’ve done out of the required four. Then, you will stay the same, go up, or go down a half to a full letter grade depending upon Quality, Replies, & Source Links (rubric in Canvas).
4 = 90
3 = 75
2 = 65
1 = automatic 50
0 = 0
